The Rainbow Bridge
Just
this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies
that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow
Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they
can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine,
and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All
the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are
happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very
special to them, who had to be left behind.
They
all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and
looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body
quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green
grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You
have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you
cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy
kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and
you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from
your life but never absent from your heart.
Then
you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Some other very special dogs, that have touched my heart and are now at the Rainbow Bridge. My condolences to their owners.

This is never an easy page to add to but I feel I have to add a very special dog to this page, namely:
BLUEMAX RED DRUM 'A' 'Z'
"Ben"
23rd August 1997 - 14th August 2006
Ben was the best friend of Michelle and understandably has left a huge hole in Michelle's life. It is always hard to come to terms when you loose a loved one. Ben was a very special part of Michelle's life and he will be in her heart forever.
Hopefully Michelle (and Jackson, Michelle's other dog) will find it easier to cope as each day goes by. I am so sorry for your loss.

MASTERTON ENSIGN ILLEX
“Jasper”
25/3/2002 to 2/2/2004
This poor little chap didn’t get much of a chance at life at it was taken from him before he even managed to reach adulthood due to complications after emergency surgery.
Jasper was the pride and joy of Caron and Wade and was a real part of their family. He had a beautiful character. What a bundle of joy he was. Poor Caron and Wade have a big void in their life at the moment and hopefully one day someone else might be able to fill the gap. Nothing ever replaces a loved one but sometimes it can help.
From this cute bundle of joy:

TO THIS AND TO THIS

EDLENBLUT VENTURE 'A' 'Z' BSCl.2
"Kapri"
5th January 1990 - 18th June 2003

This is Kapri baby-sitting puppies on one of her holidays back home and supervising Jeddah at her own house.
It is with great sadness that Kapri has found her way onto this page. Kapri came to Masterton Kennels as an 8-week-old puppy and had the most wonderful temperament that one could hope to find in a German Shepherd. She didn’t have very many litters as most of her litters consisted of anywhere between 1 and 3 puppies. It was decided to desex Kapri and not have to worry about her coming into season. This way she could be surrogate mother to all the puppies, which suited Kapri.
When Kapri was 7 years of age a dear friend of mine had just lost one of her Shepherds and the other Shepherd (Toska) was fretting so I decided to offer her Kapri as company for Toska. Even when Kapri needed somewhere to stay because her new owners were going away she would come back to Masterton Kennels and sleep on the bed and have the run of the place like she use to. The deal was she had to pay the price and baby-sit whatever puppies were here and loved every minute of it. Kapri lived out the rest of her life with Chris and I must thank Chris for the wonderful years she gave Kapri

TESS

This is Tess and her close companion Pebbles (Tess is the big one).
Unfortunately, Tess departed this world on 11th February, 2003. Pebbles is coping, but only just as Pebbles is 12 years of age and Tess was 15 years of age so she had been a constant companion to Pebbles.
Tess was no show champion but she was a champion in Julie’s eyes. She was a true “best friend” to Julie. If you have the love and devotion for your animal they will reciprocate as their love for you is totally unconditional. If you are cranky they still love you and they are there for you at all times.
Tess will be forever missed by my dear friend Julie and I wish her well in the battle to come to terms with her loss.
